I’ve Fallen Out With The Church

I've Fallen Out With The Church

I've Fallen Out With The Church

"24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.. " - Hebrews 10:24-25

Question for Thought:
By refusing to return to the church could you actually be playing a passive role in it’s destruction?

This is for:
People who have made a conscience decision to never attend church any more
People who have been hurt at the church
People who have hurt people in the church

What compelled me to do this video/fb live:
I Watched a video of a brother who was calling out bad actors in the church (gimmicks, lies, infidelities, so on and so forth)
There was a lot of truth to what he was saying – I felt he was coming from a sincere place – He had had enough!
When he said “I no longer go to church” – that’s what really bothered me

Why Condemn Every Pastor?
So now because a few people/pastors who have acted in a bad manner…. ALL THE CHURCH is crooked?
My challenge is – OK call out the crooked, if that’s what you feel you need to do… ( what about the men/women of God who aren’t caught up in this foolishness?)
No one talks about the leaders who are serving God’s people – not caught up in the mega messes –
Suggestion – for every leader whose mess you can expose find a leader whose work you can celebrate

The Effect of Your Walking Away:
By you leaving the church, you’re doing exactly what the enemy wants you to do – either directly/indirectly be a part of it’s demise
When you leave church – you take three things that no church can survive without – You’re Time, You’re Talent, and You’re Influence
We got a lot of men/women of God who are out here working hard to do what has to be done…. And they’re doing it with a little of nothing
It’s the leaders who are trying to do the right things who are suffering by your leaving

 It’s Time to Come Home:
You’re angry, you’re hurt, you disappointed – I get it.. I’ve been there
It’s time to move on and return to your first love – Christ
Some of you will not return – why – because you have gotten comfortable outside the church – sleeping in on Sunday doing what you want to do
The church needs you, and you need the church –
Find you a place that values you, and that is biblically based (hocus pokes)
